Individual ball skills, creativity, and love of the game will create exciting soccer players who can play on successful select teams at the highest levels.
Teams

Skills evaluation clinics will be conducted at various times throughout the year allowing players new to the club to be evaluated by the club's age group Director or Certified Licensed Coach. All attemps will be made to form teams made up of players equal in ability and skill level therefore may be realigned at the end of each seaon to keep players equal in abilty and skill development together.

o Will my child be placed on a team?
§ The policy of SC Waukesha is that every child who registers on time will be placed on an academy team with players of equal ability. If there are not enough players to make up a team your additional academy fees will be refunded and your child will be allowed to participate on a Club\Rec Team.
o Will my child get on the team that we want?
§ We absolutely do not make team placements based on friendships, car-pools, or any other reason including "but my child has always been on that team". Teams are primarily selected on ability level and may change from season to season.
o Who can I contact if I have a question or problem?
§ If the problem is with your child's team, please address it directly with the coach at an appropriate time and place. For any other problems or if the coach was not able to help you, please the appropriate Age Group Director.
§At least once a year, parents will receive a coach evaluation form which can be returned anonymously.
o What if we are not happy with our child's team placement?
§ First of all, the best interest of your child will be served if you keep things positive and keep things in perspective. Encourage your child to do his or her best in the situation. By all means let SC Waukesha know if you think something is wrong, but be aware that we will not make changes, after the teams have been selected, until the following season (if we feel it to be necessary). There are other soccer programs your child can try out for if you feel SC Waukesha does not suit your needs.
o Playing Up Beyond Your Age
§ SC Waukesha supports the philosophy of continually challenging its member players. If this involves a player moving up to an appropriate age group, this is supported, provided they meet the following guidelines.
§ Players are encouraged to play at correct age level.
§ Players wishing to play up must tryout with older group.
§ SC Waukesha recommends only players who are considered top level players at the playing up age group should consider playing up.
§ Playing Up Policy applies to Select Teams and Academy Teams.
§ Considerations for Playing Up:
· Technical Ability
o A player must demonstrate a high degree of individual skill, which must be transferable to competitive match situations. In addition, a player’s individual skill must meet or exceed the technical abilities of other participating players within the age group the player wishes to transfer to.
· Physical Ability
o A player must meet most or surpass players within their age group in physical strength, technical skill and speed and have the ability to physically blend in with players of the intended age group.
· Mental Ability
o A player must meet most or surpass players within their age group in game awareness and general knowledge of the game. To include the mental strength that will be necessary when dealing with older and more physical opponents.
· Social Ability
o A player must be able to interact with players within the intended age group on and off the field (games, training, and social gatherings).
